Verein Aufnahmeantrag
In the WS19/20, the student self-administration in our tower has transformed into the registered non-profit association (eingetragener, gemeinnütziger Verein) OPH e.V. Whether you are a new resident or not: if you use the internet, the washing machines or any of the AG services, you have to become a member for the duration of your stay in OPH.

- Stuff that this form asks you to have read and agreed to:
- the Datenschutzerklärung (data privacy statement),
- the Satzung (the charter),
- and the Geschäftsordnung (rules of procedure).
Registration Procedure
You have to pay the membership fee in full, and hand in the registration form.
Use this template for the bank transfer (choose "for the rest of this semester", NOT "for the upcoming semester"). If you moved in in February 2020: pay 8€ for the rest of this semester (WS19/20 ends 30.03.2020), not 25€. If you moved in in March 2020: pay 4€ for the rest of this semester, not 25€. If you move in April 2020: do not pay 25€ yet. Instead, wait for the announcement (by mail and notice boards) of the new payment period for SS20. Partial refunds for the fee are not possible.
Regarding the registration form:
- Either fill out and sign the form digitally, and send it to hs@oph.rwth-aachen.de (subject 'Aufnahmeaantrag' or 'registration'),
- or
- print/get a printout from...
- your own letterbox,
- the Hausmeister office,
- the network group office hours,
- ...and post/hand in the filled and signed version to one of the following:
- the letterbox Otto-Petersen-Haus e.V. (letterboxes window-facing side, middle, top),
- the network group office hours.

Q & A
Q: I am a subtenant (Untermieter) / I have a subtenant (Untermieter) in WS19/20. Who of us has to pay?
A: Only one of you has to pay the full fee (preferably the main tenant (Hauptmieter)), then you both are cleared for this semester. But you both have to hand in a registration form individually for legal reasons. Main tenants: For future reference, if you go away for a whole semester, as a member you have the option to change your membership into a resting membership (ruhende Mitgliedschaft) for that semester, and then don't have to pay for that period.
Q: I am moving out for good. What happens to my membership?
A: Then your membership ends automatically. Unless you tell us otherwise explicitly (e.g. if you want to stay connected to or keep supporting your old student dorm).
Q: I moved in in May-September / November-March. Do I have to pay the full membership fee (currently 25€) for the running summer semester / winter semester?
A: No. For the running semester, you only have to pay for the remaining months of the semester, from the baseline 24€. Example: Moved in WS2019/2020 February -> October-January have passed, pay for February-March only -> pay 24*2/6=8€.
