Grundlegendes für Neueinzieher
Neu im Otto-Petersen-Haus (OPH)? Sei willkommen!
Anmerkung: Auf jeder Etage (im Schaukasten vor dem Aufzug oder in der Küche) solltest Du außerdem einen Aushang mit allen hier erwähnten Ansprechpartnern finden.
Dein erster Ansprechpartner nach dem Hausmeister ist Dein Etagensprecher. Sie oder er hilft Dir, Dich hier häuslich einzurichten und erklärt Dir, wie das Leben auf Deiner Etage funktioniert. Einige Dinge im Turm (unter anderem das Netzwerk, den Waschraum und AG-Räume), verwalten wir Studierende des OPH selbst in Form eines eingetragenen, gemeinnüztigen Vereins. Diese Dinge sind in diesem Wiki beschrieben.
Falls Du diese Dinge nutzen möchtest, musst Du vier Dinge tun, in beliebiger Reihenfolge. Um es zu wiederholen: die Reihenfolge ist egal. Also hol Dir zuerst Internet, dann bezahl den Beitrag und gib den Antrag ab innert dem ersten Monat. Aber vergiss es nicht!
- Kontaktiere die Netzwerkgruppe um Internet zu bekommen (How-To siehe dort).
- Fülle den Aufnahmeantrag zur Vereinsmitgliedschaft im Otto-Petersen-Haus e.V. aus und gebe ihn ab.
- Bezahle den Mitgliedsbeitrag für die verbleibenden Monate dieses Semesters
Das Wiki und die internen Kommunikationswege enthalten fast alle aktuelle Informationen, die Dich interessieren könnten.
Auf dem Laufenden bleiben
Sobald Du Netzzugang hast, schau mal rein in unsere Kommunikationskanäle! Dort steht auch wie Du die AGs am schnellsten erreichst.
Neben der Etagenküche und den obigen Kanälen hat jede Etage eine Gruppe. Bitte Deinen Etagensprecher um eine Einladung.

Neueinzieher-Rallye
Im ersten Monat jedes Semesters findet eine Neueinzieher-Rallye statt. Die Einladung erfolgt per Mail und Post.
Über das OPH hinaus
Unsere drei Nachbartürme bieten ebenfalls einige Dienste begrenzt zugänglich für andere Türmebewohner. Schau mal auf TvK, OIH und WEH.
Jeden Sommer organisieren die Türmebewohner zusammen zwei große Events mit tausenden Besuchern:
- das Türmefest, eine große Studierenden-Partz mit Live Bands und DJs auf unserem Parkplatzgelände,
- den Lousberglauf, der traditionelle 5'555 Meter Fun Run auf dem Lousberglauf.
AGs
Allgemeines
Die meisten Aktivitätin im Haus sind organisiert über die AGs. Unsere AGs verwalten und verleihen Vereinsräume und Vereinseigentum und organiseren Veranstaltungen wie z. B. Film- und Spieleabende. Die Ansprechpartner für die AGs findest du unter Anderem auf unserem Aktivenplakat, auch als Aushang vor den Aufzügen auf jeder Etage. Falls du selber bei einer AG mitmachen möchtest, melde dich gerne bei einem der Mitglieder. Weitere Infos findest du auf den Wikiseiten der einzelnen AGs.
Belegungsausschuss
Der Belegungsausschuss kümmert sich um die Auswahl neuer Bewohner für das OPH. Dir helfen sie aber auch bei Fragen zu Miete, Mietzeitunterbrechung oder Untermiete.
Backfeen
Die Backfeen verleihen Küchengeräte zum Backen und organisieren auch öfters Backevents.
Billard-AG
Die Billard-AG verwaltet den Billard-Raum im Zwischengeschoss. Bei ihnen kannst du den Billard-Raum für dich selber kostenfrei mieten. Sie verleihen außerdem noch Brettspiele.
Getränke-AG
Die Getränke-AG verkauft Getränke. Falls du etwas kaufen möchtest, kannst du dich bei ihnen melden.
Grill und Bierbank AG
Die Grill-AG verleiht Grills, Grillzubehör und Bierbänke.
HD-AG
Die HD-AG verwaltet den HD-Raum im Erdgeschoss. Der Raum mit Beamer und Soundanlage eignet sich super für einen Kinoabend mit Freunden.
Netzwerkgruppe
Die Netzwerkgruppe verwaltet unsere Netzwerkinfrastruktur. Wenn du Internet auf einem neuen Gerät brauchst oder andere Probleme mit dem Internet hast kommst du am besten in ihre Sprechstunde, Montags und Donnerstags um 18:30 im HD-Raum.
Sport-AG
Die Sport-AG kümmert sich um den Tischtennis-Raum im Erdgeschoss. Den Raum kannst du während der Vorlesungszeit zum Tischtennis spielen mieten. Während der Prüfungsphase wird der Tischtennis-Raum ganztäglich als Lernraum geöffnet. Außerdem hat die AG noch ein Sortiment an Sportgeräten zu verleihen.
Wasch-AG
Die Wasch-AG kümmert sich um unseren Waschkeller und die Instandhaltung unserer Waschmaschinen und trockner. Die Mitglieder der Wasch-AG verkaufen aber keine Waschmarken, dafür sind die Waschmarkenverkäufer auf jeder Etage zuständig.
Werkzeug- & Fahrrad-AG
Die Werkzeug-AG hat ein großes Sortiment an Werkzeug zum Verleih zur Verfügung.

Basics for new residents
New to the Otto Petersen House (OPH)? Welcome!
Note: On every floor (in the showcase in front of the elevator or in the kitchen) you should also find a notice board with all contacts mentioned below.
Your first point of contact after the caretaker is your floor speaker. He or she will help you set up your home here and explain how life works on your floor. We manage some things in the tower (including the network, the washroom and AG rooms) ourselves in the form of a registered, non-profit association. These things are described in this wiki.
If you want to use these things, you have to do four things, in the order you prefer. To repeat: the order does not matter. So get internet first, then pay the fee and submit the form within the first month. But don't forget it!
- Contact the network group to get internet (How-To see there).
- Sign and hand in the registration form for membership in the association Otto-Petersen-Haus e.V.
- Pay the membership fee for the remaining months of this semester

Staying in touch
Once you have network access, have a look into our communication channels! Also info there on how to reach the AGs (working groups) the quickest way.
Besides the floor kitchen and the channels above, each floor has its own messenger group. Ask you floor speaker for an invite.

Newcomer rally
In the first month of each semester there is a newcomer rally. The invitation is sent by mail and post.
Beyond OPH
Our three neighbor towers also have some limited services accessible to other tower residents. Have a look at TvK, OIH and WEH.
Each summer, the four towers' residents cooperate to organise two big events with thousands of attendees:
- the Türmefest, a big student party with live bands and DJs on our grounds,
- the Lousberglauf, the traditional 5'555 m fun run on the Lousberglauf.
AGs
General
Most Activities in the house are organized through working groups (AGs). Our AGs handle the associations property and organize events like game- or movie-nights. You can find the contacts for the AGs on our Aktivenplakat, which you can also find as a printout in front of the elevator on every floor. If you want to join one of the AGs, feel free to contact one of their members. You can find more information on the wiki-pages of the AGs.
Occupancy Council
The Occupancy Committee organizes the selection of new residents. They can also help you with questions about rent, interruption of your rent-time or subletting.
Baking Fairies
The Baking Fairies have a stock of kitchen appliances for baking to lend out.
Billard-AG
The Billard-AG organizes the Billard-Room on the Z-Floor. You can rent the Room from them for yourself at no cost. They also have a stock of board games to lend.
Beverages-AG
The Beverages-AG sells Beverages. You can send them a message if you want to buy something.
Grill und Beer-Bench AG
TheGrill-AG lends out grills, grilling appliances as well as benches for outside.
HD-AG
The HD-AG organizes the HD-Room on the ground floor. The room, with beamer and sound system is perfect for a movie night with friends.
Network Group
The Network Group maintains our internet infrastructure. If you need internet on a new device or have any other issues with the internet, you can join them during their consultation hours, every monday and thursday at 18:30 in the HD-Room.
Sports-AG
The Sports-AG organizes the table-tennis-room on the ground floor. During the lecture period you can rent the room to play table tennis. During the exam period, the room is opened for the whole day as a study room. Furthermore, the AG has a stock of sports equipment to lend out.
Washing-AG
TheWashing-AG handles the maintenance of our washing cellar and the washing machines and clothesdryers. The AGs members don't sell washing coins, the washing coin sellers on each floor are responsible for that.
Tools- & Bicycles-AG
The Tools-AG has a bick stock of tools availeable to lend out.
